Dr Norana Rahman, or Nora to her friends and colleagues, graduated as a doctor  from the University of Malaya, Malaysia in 1980. She did her junior doctor training in Malaysia and several London hospitals and Palliative care medicine at Marie Curie. She relocated to London in 2000 and joined Dr Kelly & Associates in November 2001, where she currently practices as a GP. She is now part resident in Singapore but continues her practice in London and she shuttles between the two cities frequently.

Nora, with some formal art training in her youth, did a painting course recently to return to basics and learn about colours, at the Slade School of Art, UCL. She continues to explore her creative side with drawings, paintings and more recently, pottery, Raku, glass fusion  and Verre églomisé,. In spite of her busy schedule as a full time doctor working in the city of London and mother of 2 grown-up children, she has found the time to express herself in some exciting new work – experimenting with reverse glass painting and gold. It is an extremely therapeutic technique producing some surprising and engaging work. Some of her work delve into the emotional side of medicine as seen from her perspective as a doctor and an individual who has lived and worked in different societies and cultures.
